Looking to buy dahlia tubers in NZ? You’ve stumbled into the right patch of internet soil.
Here at Feral Flower Farm in Koputaroa, we grow dahlias with a whole lotta heart and a healthy dose of chaos. No straight rows or plastic-perfect blooms - just big, bold, wildly beautiful flowers raised in the wind-whipped fields of Horowhenua.

Why Our Dahlia Tubers Are Different (AKA Feral as F***)
Our tubers aren’t just plants - they’re legacy makers. Grown organically and with zero chill, these tubers have survived wind storms, goat invasions, and the kind of soil that makes lesser blooms weep. If you want hardy, unique, seasonal dahlia tubers bred for wild NZ souls... and soils, keep reading.
When Are Dahlia Tubers Available in New Zealand?
We dig our tubers in early winter and ship our tubers early Spring. right after the season wraps and just before winter kicks our spades into hibernation. They’re usually online and available from late July/early August - I will post updates on the date closer to the time.

Popular Dahlia Varieties We Grow
Here are a few wild favourites we’ve raised on the farm:
- Seraphine – a Wildstyler seedling with messy inner petals and divine energy
- Kiki’s Dream – moody tones with mystery in her bones
- Labyrinth, Cafe au Lait, and Romance – because legends deserve space too
Some are heirlooms. Some are bred right here in Horowhenua sandy loam. All of them? Total show-offs.
