Corpse Bride-Inspired Backyard Wedding

Corpse Bride-Inspired Backyard Wedding

Love, Laughter, and a Walk Through the Cemetery!

Not every love story ends with a ballroom and a white satin bow. Some end with black lace, bone-white blooms, and a cemetery stroll hand-in-hand with your soulmate.

Dee and Mark did things their way - with a beautiful backyard wedding filled with love, laughter, and personal touches. Then, while guests celebrated under festoon lights at the Ocean Beach Eatery in Foxton, we slipped away to Terrace End Cemetery in Palmerston North for their portraits.

Why a cemetery? Because these two legends are the perfect mix of dark romance and cheeky rebellion. And honestly, the results were insane.

Cracked tombstones, wild ivy, and golden-hour light made the perfect backdrop for their Corpse Bride-inspired photoshoot. Dee was a vision in vintage, with a gorgeous black and grey dress and florals to match. Mark brought the vibe in moody tones and skull pocket square. It was poetic, weird, beautiful - them.

This Is What I Live For

At Wildstyler Photography, I capture love stories that don’t fit the mold. Whether it’s:

  • Backyard weddings with DIY charm
  • Alternative, offbeat couples who want something real
  • Cemetery portraits or urban grunge elopements

I’ve got you. I document your connection, your chaos, your softness, and your spark.

And with Wildstyler florals, we ditch the generic. Think:

  • Blackened foliage, antique roses, and twisted vines
  • Dramatic textures and unconventional shapes
  • Bouquets that look like they’ve been summoned, not arranged.
