Intimate, heartfelt, emotional, elegant, glorious. Just a few words to describe this gorgeous winter wedding ceremony at Duncan House, Foxton.
---
Surrounded by ten of their dearest family, and on a gorgeous winters day, Brenden and Georgia said "I do", during the most heartfelt and intimate wedding ceremony at Duncan House in Foxton. Only a year earlier, the couple had been going through the most difficult time in their lives, nearly losing their daughter, Lily, due to serious life threatening complications from a winter illness. Lily was born with the rare FOX G1 syndrome. She is one of five known people to have FOX G1 in New Zealand, and one of about 1000 worldwide. With little research available on this relatively new condition, Brenden and Georgia have had to navigate this difficult journey together. The idea of a wedding seemed like a far away dream. Keeping Lily safe from winters ills and chills, and looking after 5 year old Cohen, were the priorities.

Then came Irene of Duncan House.
Irene contacted me with an idea. She had heard Brenden and Georgia's story, and wanted to gift them both a full wedding experience. Of course, I was on board straight away. I had worked with Irene before and admired her values, and her approach to life, to business and to people. I knew Irene was working on developing the most heartfelt, soulful space to hold micro weddings, and I knew what ever she touched, would be incredible. Gifting this beautiful experience to Brenden & Georgia, was everything.

Congratulations Brenden & Georgia. I feel honoured to have been able to be a part of your special day, and to capture all these moments (and more) for you to cherish forever. I couldn't think of a more well deserving couple for this experience. Getting to know you both, and your family has been a highlight. The love you have for each other is evident in every single photo, and it makes me smile.
